Okay, so I'm going to lay some ground rules--there will be no rhyme nor reason to these interviews. I will do them any day I want, because I am simply not a planner. I could try to plan things, but I fail miserably.
Also, the reason I have so much fun with this, is that this is what I do. I live, breathe, and pretty much read while I eat, books. :) My friends love books. My timeline on Facebook is filled with them. As a review coordinator I talk to blogs and authors and readers about books, and when I get done, I write books. And gibberish, but that's to get that gobble-dee-gook out of my head so I can write books. :)
They say to write what you know, and this, is what I know.
Without further ado, this is the ever lovely Tara Pennington of Crazy Chix Book Reviews. A book page that has guided over a thousand people to their next great read, and as of tonight, two thousand have realized how awesome this page is. Congratulations, Tara!
*Turns down the lights and cues interview*
TV show/movie you’d most like to see turned into a book?
Ummm...damn this is hard.
Hah! Don't worry! I won't hold you to it!
Oh, NCIS New Orleans.
You know, I’ve never gotten into that one, so that probably would be fun to read as a book. I imagine it would have a great flavor—and yes that is me geeking out about books. Favorite beverage while reading?
Hot chocolate or sweet tea. And we all geek out about books.
Ah! Such good company to be in, then. Okay, now what site do you use to find your next favorite read? Amazon, B&N, Goodreads…?
Believe it or not Facebook or events I attend.
How many books do you carry with you on a daily basis?
Okay, so I am guessing the Kindle app doesn't count... So usually two paperbacks in my purse and three in my car.
No, Kindle apps can count. E-books are people, too. :)
So hundreds. I have a habit of keeping my favorites on the home screen though.
Okay, so now I’m curious. What do you currently have on your home screen?
Lol. Okay, here goes nothing:
Breakable by Tammara Webber
Mermaids Curse by Daniele Lanzarotta
Ruling Esland by H.M. McQueen
Hollows End by Marianne Morea
And, of course, A Tinfoil Hat of My Own by Echo Shea
Whoot! I’m on the list! *Does a happy dance* Okay, next scripted question--do you ever read comic books?
Heck, yeah, you are… And, yeah!!! I have a huge thing for Hellblazer (Constantine) and the Sandman series.
Hah! Still can’t get over being on your list. *Cue the dancing rabbit.* And now back to being all professional—or as professional as I get. :) I know you’ve been to some book conventions. Is there any one that stands out as your favorite?
I love The Novel Experience. It was my first big one and I plan to go back this year. I met so many authors at that one that I am now friends with.
Thank you so much for taking the time to be here, Tara, and for letting me quiz you. *Turns the desk lamp out of your eyes.* I've loved having you here!
I loved being here. Thank you for asking me.
You're always welcome here--'cause you rock!
