Enjoy, my dears!
*Cue interview!*
Favorite fantasy animal?
Dragon. The power of flight, fierce determination, the ability to wield spells and shoot fire. Definitely, my favorite animal. (Fantasy that is…)
Hah! Good choice! Especially since you wrote Skydreamer. Have you ever read a genre that you were surprised that you actually liked?
I don't believe so. There are certain genre's I stay away from naturally, horror being one of them. That said, I have a horror novel sitting on my hard drive.
Hah! Yes, horror is not for everyone. But when you get scared, it’s good to snuggle up to someone--do you have a favorite reading cuddle buddy? My puppy likes to keep me company. :)
My husband is truly my sweetheart but I prefer to read alone. Silence is my friend it allows me to get deeper into whatever book has taken my interest.
Hah! A love of alone time is good for a writer. We’re a solitary people. J Is there a country that you’ve ready about that you wish you could visit?
I've always wanted to go to Ireland. My dream vacation. I want to wander the old castles and find ancient serving spoons and cracked pottery. That would be my dream vacation.
Not a bad place to go! Speaking of good places to go… Library or bookstore? Which do you favor?
Library. I can seldom afford all the books I want to buy at a bookstore (who can?) but at a library I can check out a good dozen or so and come back for more.
Me, too! We have a really great library—the people are nice and we pretty much have a cart on reserve. Next question… What’s your favorite time of day to sneak away and read?
I read all the time. In the morning before work, at lunch, waiting while dinner cooks or after dinner…
Hah! No reading at the table! J Last question, as a writer and a reader, do you have a personal preference between fantasy and contemporary fiction?
I actually love both genres equally. To live in a world without fantasy/paranormal books would be so dull, and to read a book and not feel that boy will meet girl, that they will conquer their problems and get together. I just couldn't imagine that… I love both genres.
Me, too. <3 Thank you so much for coming on to be interviewed! Before you go, care to tell us about your latest read? Or what you’re working on next?
I'm currently writing a cute story about woman who wants to start her own hamburger business. It has romance, a bit of a grumpy overbearing father, and an estranged brother. I kind threw the entire kettle at them, we'll see if they can pull their shoes out of the fire...
Whoot! Can’t wait to see it in stores! Have a lovely evening and thank you for staying up late to be interviewed by me. *Cuts the duct tape off of your hands to let you go free.*
Thank you so much for stopping by, Sheryl! <3
