What's up today, my bookish friends?
Me, I'm just curled up on the couch with the puppy--finally given up on trying to sniff out my computer, has curled up on my legs--and I'm sucking on some mints. Ah, the excitement! :)
Well, apart from my hard rocking party lifestyle, as you can see, I can be found scrolling through Facebook, trying to figure out how in the hell Twitter works, and piecing together what's going on the television in snippets--occasionally I look up. Hey, don't sound so shocked! I can look away from my computer on occasion!
Now, the only question is what to do next... There are so many books and I'm hungry for something a little bit different. Have you ever read Jo Nesbo? I've heard so many good things about his work that I finally got it. I know more about his stories than I usually do going into a book, so that's a little different. I usually like to know almost nothing when I start reading a book. I grab it based on spine or cover, look at the first and middle pages and then snatch it up. What can I say? I like the mystery. :)
Anyway, I was thinking about finding out what all the fuss over these northern European authors is about. Or I could read a western...or romance...or urban fantasy...or another one set in Maryland called Chicken and Waffles, which I just had to grab--so cute looking. To be honest, though, it's like heading to a buffet and wanting everything at once. I have to take my plate and calmly head for what I want so I don't drop it all on the way back to the table. Ah, books. Food for the soul. I still have no idea why in the hell I'm so damned hungry, though. I'm craving something and I just can't figure out what it is.
What are you reading today?
